What's on Your Stamping Table?

I used lots of scraps and leftover pieces from other projects and made all of these 3 x 3 cards. I used some full sheets of solid paper for the card bases but the punches & designer paper were bits & pieces from other projects. Some of the paper is from retired DP or a retired Scrapbook kit.

These were fun to make. Almost like a
limited supply challenge!! So the challenge is on-use those bits & pieces on your stamp table and make something pretty!!

This is my favorite card made with Upsy Daisy. The sky was made using a scallop circle punch and sponging baja breeze ink around it. I can't take credit for this idea but I can't remember where I saw it done. I sponged certainly celery at the bottom of the page and then stamped the image with chocolate chip craft ink. You could also stamp the image with chocolate chip craft ink, emboss with clear EP and then sponge the sky & grass.

Another Upsy Daisy card!! I really love the new SU satin ribbon!! It is kiwi kiss on one side and very vanilla on the other. The ribbon is very thick and satiny!! I stamped the flowers first in versamark and then classic kiwi kiss ink and then heat embossed using clear EP. The background was sponged using baja breeze, certainly celery, and not quite navy. Do you see the little bit of sponging around the sentiment? I had to do that because I had ink on my fingers when I put on the rub-on. Soooo to cover up my baja breeze fingerprint. I sponged baja breeze over the entire sentiment. All great artisans make mistakes right? The trick is to know how to hide them. Of course ideally you shouldn't tell anyone but . . . Off to watch a movie with DD who is miserable with a cold!!!!!

This card is made with my new set Upsy Daisy! I like the silhouette stamps that are new in the SU catalog. This stamp makes a quick card because it is a large stamp. I think this color combo is my favorite new color combo so far. Pacific Point blue is definitely my favorite blue. Of course pink is always a good choice!!

Remember shrinky dinks? My DD and one of her friends made some shrinky dinks to make some necklaces out of. Notice the sock monkey!!!!! I put the nickel in the photo just to show how small these are. See everybody loves the sock monkey!!!

Look pink elephants on parade!!! So I have been really lazy lately and scanning my cards instead of taking photos. It is so much easier to just lay them on the scanner, which is by the computer, than to go to my laundry room (it has the best lighting), take a photo, pull out the memory card and load the image. However I really like photos best. On this card the elephants are embossed with Iridescent Ice but you really can't tell when it is scanned.

Oh well I really wanted to make a card with pink elephants so here it is. I made it while stamping with 2 of my friends last Friday night. I enjoy stamping with friends because I usually make something creative for me rather than something with a purpose. Does that make sense?

I love the images in this set because they are clean, simple, and recognizable. I sponged around the elephants, used a SU marker for the dots and of course the scallop border punch for the edges.

Look sponging!! I really need to practice my sponging. I think I have a heavy hand because when I see the image posted I always think there is too much chocolate (no such thing you say?) chip ink. I stamped the image with basic brown and colored it with SU markers summer sun & certainly celery. The flowers are embossed with clear EP. I was inspired by a card by Theresa on her blog Crafting the Web.

I have been really good and I have not used my Sock Monkey set in the last few posts. I didn't even put the Accessories stamps set on my order. Although I really want to make a card with the bunny ears on the sock monkey.
