I used Soft Suede textured paper and added a strip of DSP around the spine. To adhere the paper to the notebook I use Stampin' Up!™ glue sticks. The butterfly is covered chipboard that I cut with the Beautiful Butterflies die with my Big Shot. The stamped image is from a Sale-A-Bration™ Stampin' Up! set called Fresh Vintage; it is one of the items you can get for FREE by spending $50. The paper is from Everyday Enchantment and is also a Sale-A-Bration item. I used the new Labels Collection Framlits dies to cut the layered panels.

Altered Notebook
I
love writing in altered notebooks, even if it is just my grocery list! Every fall I hit the clearance racks at Target and purchase a sack full of composition notebooks. You know those black and white marbled looking notebooks? Most of the time I get them for less than a dollar.

More fundraiser cards!
Here are a few more cards I made for the fundraiser. I used some of my free Ice Cream Parlor Sale-A-Bration paper, die cuts and buttons.
I generally make about 8-10 of each design. Because I make so many I try to keep the layers to just a couple and not lots of details. I did do the faux stitching on the one card but I just thought it needed a little something.

Sale-A-Bration Freebies card!
I used white embroidery thread on the buttons. I used my awesome Signo™ white gel pen for the faux stitching. Love that little guy! I think I am on my fourth one!
Well it's a little gloomy today-a good day to go down to the stamp cave and make some cards. Maybe I will even make a (gasp!) scrapbook page or two.

Easy Peasy Little Owls!
Well at least the sun is shining today in Kansas City. I would still like to see it a smidge warmer (high today is 42) but it is still March soooo. Better than snow right???
The little owls are from the Sale-A-Bration set called Punch Bunch, which is FREE with a $50 purchase. I love it when the images fit inside a punch-saves me a lot of cutting! The leaves were cut with the Big Shot™ using Little Leaves sizzlet™. The paper is from a Sale-A-Bration offering (FREE with a $50 purchase) called Ice Cream Parlor which includes 9 sheets of double sided12x12 paper and 2 sheets of die-cuts. The trim at the bottom was made with the Scallop Trim border punch. Colors are Pacific Point and Old Olive.

Another CASE from the SAB catalog!
Lately I have noticed several cards made with punched embellishments the same color as the background like the blue flowers on this card. There are several examples of this in the SU catalog. I did add a little faux stitching around the Bashful Blue flowers but who can resist that little white gel pen? Rhinestone brads are in the center of the punched flowers and the ribbon is the Certainly Celery from the SAB ribbon bundle that is FREE with a $50 purchase. The stamp set is Polka Dot Punches.

I CASED the SAB Catalog!
Look! I CASED the Sale-A-Bration catalog! This is my CASE (Copy and Share Everything) of the card on the front of the SAB catalog. The ribbon is my new favorite ribbon (I am fickle you know) So Saffron grosgrain. The stamp set is Polka Dot Punches. Both the ribbon & the stamp set are items in the SAB catalog. This was an easy card to make. It is hard to tell in this photo but I broke out my textured cardstock and used some Whisper White in the center. I am not sure why I haven't been using my textured cardstock. Maybe because it is stored on the shelf across the room and my regular cardstock is in the rolling carts by my chair? I wonder how many extra calories that burns? Maybe an extra piece of chocolate?
I had the hardest time getting these photos to post correctly. For some reason every time I loaded the first photo blogger would flip it 180 degrees. So thinking I would out smart the computer I flipped the photo thinking blogger would flip it the right way. But nooooooo it was still standing on its side! I many different things but to no avail. I even asked my computer savvy DS but he said, "I don't know why it's doing that; that's really weird." How did I fix it you ask? I went upstairs and went to bed! Today it uploaded my photos correctly!
