Just A Little More Christmas

 So how was your Christmas? Is your tree down? Decorations packed away? Mine are but only just...

 I did find some time this Christmas to make a few gifts. These ornaments were for my 5th/6th grade Sunday School class and for an ornament exchange with some wonderful friends. 


I meant to take photos of the ornaments I rec'd but forgot and now they are  packed away. 

These are some tags I made for my stamp club members. I borrowed the idea from Vickie, Its A Stamp Thing.  The glitter is the fabulous silver glass glitter, stamps are from Stampin' Up!™ Bells and Boughs, Serene Snowflakes and Greeting Card Kids. I used blender pens and Stampin' Pastels™ to color the images. I think I need to make some more of these for next year.

Christmas Ornament Swap

Some of my very creative friends and I had a girls' night out at a local restaurant and swapped Christmas ornaments. Here are the ones that I received. The first one was made by Kris (Collage Contessa) and the one below was made by Trisha (easily amused, hard to offend).

They are all so unique! The only sad part is (hangs head in shame), I have not put up my Christmas tree and I don't think I will be able to this year. I just simply ran out of time. Oh well there is always next year right???















Here are the two ornaments I made to share. I used the Deck the Halls DSP and a stamp from Greeting Card Kids. I used blender pens and ink pads to color the image.

Chipboard Ornaments

These are ornaments I made for my Acteens class I teach at church. Acteens is a missions oriented group for girls in 7th to 12th grade. I made these with pieces from ornament kits Stampin' Up! offered a while back. I bought several of these kits when they went on sale for half price. (I can't resist a sale!) The bases are chipboard covered with precut DSP from the kit. I used Stampin' Up! glue sticks to adhere the DSP to the chipboard. I used some Basic Pearls from Stampin' Up, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Rhinestone brads, felt snowflakes (from the Stampin' Up! clearance rack) and elastic cord to decorate.
I packaged each in a cellophane back with a topper cut with the scallop square die and embellished with DSP covered chipboard pieces.

More Glittery Christmas Ornaments

These ornaments were made using the Country Living Kit that was available last year. One of these days I am going to make a Light Box so my photos are clearer. I take my photos in the laundry room on top of the washing machine because the laundry room has fluorescent lights. I have to be careful not to pan up or left or you will see the ugly cement walls or the piles of dirty clothes!!! This is what we will be making in the ornament class plus several smaller ornaments. They could be used as gift tags or tree ornaments, or to decorate a gift or hang on a garland. I think I am going to either hang mine on the wall or put them on a garland.

I used Stampin' Up! glue sticks to adhere the paper to the chipboard, SU 2-Way Glue pen for the glitter. It is hard to see in the photo but the rectangles have the Merry Christmas from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped on them. I still feel like they need something??? Any suggestions? Maybe more bling? More glitter???

Glittery Ornaments

I am not sure where my week goes. I know that I am busy most of the time but honestly I think I will start keeping an hourly log and log in what I am doing each hour. . .well maybe not-I might find that I am spending too much time at the computer or watching Stargate & Alias. Every Monday I am sure I will post on my blog more often, participate in more online challenges and meet deadlines. Guess what!! Never happens! Actually I do meet most deadlines but as for posting more often??? *SIGH* Well maybe this week . . . . .


These are just a few of the Christmas ornaments or gift tags I have been making. Last Christmas I purchased several of the Stampin' Up! Country Living kits when they went on sale and set them aside. These are some of the ornaments we will be making in the girls Christmas ornament class. I also have some larger ornaments that we will be making in the adult Christmas ornament class.




The three ornaments in the middle are photo ornaments. They would make great gifts and are just the right size for a school photo. You can keep them as tree ornaments or use them as an embellishment in a scrapbook. A Bible verse would also fit in the frame. These could also be used to decorate wrapped packages as a gift tag and then be hung on the tree-a gift tag that doubles as a gift! It is hard to tell in the photos but there is lots of glitter!!!!!!
