Nature Walk Stamp Club card

Here is one of the cards we made at Stamp Club. The images are from the stamp set Nature Walk. I still love this set. The card base is Baja Breeze layered with some Early Expresso. The main panel is Natural White. I love blue and brown together. I have to admit that when I first saw Baja Breeze I was pretty unimpressed. I thought it was a little dull and boring but it has grown on me and I find myself reaching for it often. It seems to blend well with other colors.

So what are your plans for Mother's Day?? Unfortunately I work all day but I hope to drop by my mom's house after work. I have her card made and gift purchased. SHHH don't tell her! Hope everyone has a grand Mother's Day weekend!

More Birthday Cards!

Here are a couple more cards I made for the fundraiser. The first card uses the stamp set called Nature Walk from the Occasions Mini. I used some of my stash of retired card stock Mellow Moss and Pale Plum. Remember I make 8-10 of each so I try to keep it CAS (Clean and Simple).

For the second card I used a stamp from the Sale-A-Bration set called Punch Bunch. The colors are Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay (all retired In-Colors) and Soft Suede.
Finally I am off a couple of days and I hope to do some major stamping! First I really need to buy groceries, we are out of almost everything including ice cream and chocolate!! The only thing saving me from a total meltdown is I still have coffee LOL!

A Little Pink Vintage

This card was made with Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Pink Pirouette card stock. I used the Vintage Wallpaper EF on Pink Pirouette and Whisper White and sponged on some Crumb Cake ink. The brad is an Antique brad from Stampin' Up!™ I stamped the butterfly from Nature Walk in Crumb Cake. The ribbon is Whisper White taffeta.
I got out my homemade Shimmer spray for this card. Shimmer spray is easy to make. Just fill a small spray bottle with plain old rubbing alcohol and add some Shimmer Paint. How much you ask? My spray bottle holds about 2 oz and I use a small paint brush and add about 3-4 paint brushes full of Shimmer paint. If it isn't shimmery enough then add more paint. Hey, it's not baking it's art! I used Champagne Mist on this card but Frost White works just as well. Make sure you shake well! I love this stuff!

Another Nature Walk card

The sun is shining and it is 75 degrees here in Kansas City! Yahoo!!!!! Open up the windows and breath the fresh air!

Here is another card made with the stamp set Nature Walk. I used Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze card stock and Early Expresso and Baja Breeze ink. The little bee has some Frost White Shimmer paint on the wings. I added a little Baja Breeze to the flowers with a Stampin' Write marker.
I have lots of cards & wedding stuff to share and I should have my camera back by tonight. In the meantime, "Bring on spring!!!!."

Nature Walk

Love, love, love this new stamp set called Nature Walk. I haven't had time to really play with my stamps lately 'cause I am in wedding mode (son's wedding is Saturday!). So I copied this card out of the magazine that Stampin' Up! demonstrators receive called Stampin' Success.
Love the colors Baja Breeze and Early Expresso together!
I have to admit that I was not a Baja Breeze fan when I first saw the color. But it is a great shade of blue that seems to blend well with other colors.
Off to bake a cake, make slaw and potato salad!
