I think this would make a great masculine card. The lion stamp is from the Stampin' Up™! called Zoo Review. Card stock colors used were More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake. The lion was stamped on Naturals White with Black Stazon™. I used ink pads and a Blender Pen to color the lion.
I love the texture of Naturals White and Naturals Ivory paper-they are great for coloring on also. They are thicker than Whisper White and Very Vanilla and have those little specks of impurities on them (maybe that's why they are called naturals?).
This little fellow was just lying on my stamping table waiting on a permanent home. I hate to admit it but I have owned these Build-A-Bear™ dies for several months and have only played with them once. It's an addiction I tell you, you know the I-need-everything-new-in-the-catalog addiction and I need it yesterday!!
I am still trying to add to my stash of guy cards. Although this would probably have to be for a young guy-not sure an older guy would appreciate a Build-A-Bear LOL! The bear is cut out of some retired Creamy Caramel and the jacket is retired Close to Cocoa. I used embroidery floss for the shoelaces.
Well how cute is this little owl? I used some Basic Rhinestones for the eyes. It is a little tricky gluing the tiny pieces together for the owl but so worth it 'cause these are just too stinkin' cute! I used tweezers and Tombow™ Liquid Glue. Another demonstrator had a great idea; she placed a dob of Tombow Liquid Glue on a lid and used a toothpick to put the glue on the paper. This is the first time I have used Poppy Parade, one of the new In-Colors. I have to admit that I like it more now that I have actually made something with it.
Another great product I used on this card is the new Cork Sheets. I was pleasantly surprised at how thick and nice these are. I used my Big Shot™ and the Top Note die and simply cut it in half with the Tabletop Paper Trimmer and adhered it to a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock that was cut with the Top Note die. Again I used Tombow Liquid glue. The buttons are the clear Bitty Buttons with some Poppy Parade paper glued on them with Crystal Effects™.

Sometimes it is nice to make a quick & simple card! I actually made this for a make & take when I was pressed for time! The center of this card is made with the Top Note die. Simply cut a Top Note out and then turn it sideways and cut again! Easy as pie!! I am not sure whose original idea this was but I have seen it on several blogs lately. The pieces on the sides are the ones that are cut on the second time.
The stamp set is Trendy Trees; I love this set! It is great for making masculine cards and is a smaller less expensive set.
I am still working on VBS projects! I cut about a million sheets of paper in half for prayer journals and now I get to punch holes in them. Luckily my DD and her friend take bribes-I rented them a movie and bought ice cream in return for them putting some projects together. Actually, I think they would have helped without the bribe but this way I not only got help but ice cream and a movie!!!
This was such a fun card to make and a great way to use up those scraps of DSP or even retired DSP. I followed the directions on the Stampin' Addicts Forum. Click here for complete instructions. The instructions use the 1 1/4" square punch which I do not own so I used the 1 3/8" square punch. I used the liquid Tombow glue so I would not have tape stuck on my Top Note Die. The stitches were made with SU Chocolate Chip marker and it did smear some. I would reccommend using a Sharpie or a Stampin' Write Journaler . The paper is retired Cutie Pie SU DSP. The embossing is a Cuttlebug folder I ran through my Big Shot.
I have to tell my mistakes as well as my successes here-you know keeping it real as they say. If you look closely (clicked on the photo didn't you?) you will see some stray purple (Elegant Eggplant to be exact) marks on the quilted Top Note. Want to know how they got there? I had just embossed a piece of Vellum that I had inked with Elegant Eggplant and apparently it was not completely dry when I ran it through the Big Shot. So now my quilt is "distressed" with Elegant Eggplant.
This is one of the cards we made at Stamp Club Friday night. It is always a good time spent with friends! The snacks are usually pretty good too!
This is a CASE of a card by LeeAnn Gruff. (Found it!! Click on her name to see the card that inspired me) I can't find her blog but her card had a watermark. If this is your card e-mail me and I will post a link. This Top Note die cut has so many uses. I am amazed at all the creative ways it has been folded, cut, stamped and inked. I like the Bigz & Original dies the best because you can cut chipboard and multiple sheets of card stock.
The flowers are cut using the Birds & Blooms sizzlets. One more time I used the Polka Dot Punches stamp set because it matched the paper and I like to be "matchy matchy." The ribbon is from the SAB ribbon bundle. The Curly Label punch coordinates well with the Top Note.
I almost made a big blunder at stamp club (usually I only make small blunders). About 15 minutes before class as I am getting my supplies out I notice that 2 of my projects are using the jumbo eyelets. So what you ask? Well I am FRANTICALLY COUNTING TO MAKE SURE I HAVE ENOUGH. Guess what!? I have just enough! A big sigh of relief!!

These flowers & leaves are from the stamp set Petal Pizazz. I stamped them in versamark and embossed them with Iridescent Ice. The sentiment is from a hostess set and the definition stamp is from Bloomin' Beautiful. Paper colors are Tangerine Tango, Summer Sun, Pink Pirouette, Garden Green and the Whisper White Top Note is layered on Baja Breeze!
I love sparkles! and glitter! and rhinestones! Now that I see this card on the "Big Screen" I like it even better. I think I am going to make another with different colors.

This is a set of 4 cards I made with a matching folio. I was inspired by a set of cards I saw on Christine's Creations some time ago. I loved the color combination of Riding Hood Red, Kraft, and Chocolate Chip. I must admit that this was my favorite new set out of this catalog but I think I have only used it twice. I just love the images and the sayings are a hoot!!
