I really like the scallop border punch. I like making these frames. They add a great touch but are so easy to make. The image was stamped with chocolate chip craft ink and embossed with clear EP then punched with the scallop circle punch. I stamped on the twill with regular classic ink. This card was very simple to make and I think it would make a great masculine card even with the scallops.

Well I finally took the plunge and listed some books for sale on half.com. I am such a chicken when it comes to doing something new but I just bought books for my DS for college & decided I needed the money. Well 2 of the books sold within 30 minutes and I sold 2 more later that night. Even after the fees & shipping I will probably clear $180. So now I am really being brave and I am listing a few retired stamp sets for sale. We shall see . . .

Looky what I made!!! As usual I copied this idea from several blogs I have seen online. The scallop frame is made by cutting a square of cardstock 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" and simply punching the center of each side. I thought it would be hard to line up but it is extremely easy. I really tried to put him away but he just keeps smiling at me and I can't resist!!! Actually I was inspired by Lisa Trombitas card using the faux felt technique. She has a great tutorial on faux felt and paper piecing on her blog. The hat was colored using blender pens & ink pads.

I am not sure why but I really stressed over this card. I love the new kiwi kiss & chocolate chip together but couldn't decide if I really liked the pink. Then I flubbed my scallops on my card!!! Of course I decided to add the scallops after I had attached the stamped image. Then I got part of the rub-on stuck to my finger because I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing so I had to use the pink flowers to cover up the incomplete rub-on. Hey, some days you're inspired and some days you're not.

I can't seem to put Mr. Sock Monkey away! I made this card for the "wicked" challenge on splitcoaststampers on the demo forums. This is a technique called moonlighting. For a wonderful tutorial visit Jan Tink's blog. The background is Seeing Stars wheel. I hand wrote "THANKS" on the pennant. I am so ready to purchase some of the new stamp sets!! Only 2 more days until we can order from the new Stampin' Up! catalog.

Wow! I really put that ribbon on crooked! I didn't notice it until I saw it posted on my blog. It must have been really late when I made this card!!!

WOW !!! So much news from Stampin' Up! Convention. First of all SU will now be carrying the Sizzix Big Shot machine & dies. Some of the dies will be exclusive to SU and coordinate with the stamps.

Although I could not go to convention ( I was camping in the heat!!!!!) I have been enjoying the blogging talents of those who did go. Here are some blogs with convention pics & information.
