I am a frugal person but I have to admit that I don't always save everything. I keep bigger scraps of paper but usually toss anything smaller than 3". I also generally toss the "leftover" part of the paper after I die cut something. However, the stripe paper on this card is actually the leftover piece after cutting out the Labels framelit for the altered notebook in the last post. It just happened to be sitting on my table...
I layered a piece of Poppy Parade behind it then mounted both on a card base of Pool Party. The stamp is from a Sale-A-Bration™ set called Fresh Vintage that can be earned for free by spending $50. Markers were used to color the stamp. I sponged a little Pool Party ink on the bird just to give him a little depth. The sentiment was stamped on a piece of chipboard that I covered with some Whisper White paper.

This is so pretty. I have this set but have not used it yet :)
Rhonda,
Your card is beautiful! I debated whether or not to get this set. You have coordinated everything so well.
P.S. I keep all my scraps - you never know when you might need to punch out a little flower or something :-)
Well this is PRETTY, Rhonda--and I'm glad you're using your scraps!!
:)
Beautiful, Rhonda! And scraps - that's just beautiful!!
Hey Rhonda, Ok, I confess, I've started throwing away most of my scraps (except kraft, white and cream). I have too many!
Love your card. It's so sweet. Great colors...
Great use of scraps. Nice card.
