Here are a couple more cards I made for the fundraiser. The first card uses the stamp set called Nature Walk from the Occasions Mini. I used some of my stash of retired card stock Mellow Moss and Pale Plum. Remember I make 8-10 of each so I try to keep it CAS (Clean and Simple).
For the second card I used a stamp from the Sale-A-Bration set called Punch Bunch. The colors are Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay (all retired In-Colors) and Soft Suede.
Finally I am off a couple of days and I hope to do some major stamping! First I really need to buy groceries, we are out of almost everything including ice cream and chocolate!! The only thing saving me from a total meltdown is I still have coffee LOL!
I
am officially exhausted and to top it all off tonight is the start of Daylight Savings and we lose an hour! Whose idea was this??? I work part time in retail and it is either feast or famine. Last week I worked only one day-this week I will be working 7 days in a row. Ugh! Okay, this is beginning to feel like a real job. the worst part is-no time to stamp! So I just CASE'd a lovely card by the very talented Gretchen Barron HERE.
The card base is Old Olive paired with some Melon Mambo and a little DSP from the FREE SAB kit called Ice Cream Parlor. The main panel was made with a technique called Embedded Embossing.
I simply glued the punched images to the Melon Mambo panel and ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice EF.
Off to soak my poor aching feet! I need chocolate, chocolate and ice cream, no wait hot fudge sundae-do you think they deliver??????
Free is always fun right? Here's another card made with some of my freebies from Sale-A-Bration (for every $50 you spend you get to pick a free SAB item or a stamp set from the catalog valued at $14.95 or less) The stamp is from Punch Bunch and I cut out the little flowers and popped them up with Dimensionals™. The buttons, DSP and die cut strip are SAB freebies. Remember Sale-A-Bration ends March 31!!! To see all the SAB free offerings click HERE!
I used white embroidery thread on the buttons. I used my awesome Signo™ white gel pen for the faux stitching. Love that little guy! I think I am on my fourth one!
Well it's a little gloomy today-a good day to go down to the stamp cave and make some cards. Maybe I will even make a (gasp!) scrapbook page or two.
Well at least the sun is shining today in Kansas City. I would still like to see it a smidge warmer (high today is 42) but it is still March soooo. Better than snow right???
The little owls are from the Sale-A-Bration set called Punch Bunch, which is FREE with a $50 purchase. I love it when the images fit inside a punch-saves me a lot of cutting! The leaves were cut with the Big Shot™ using Little Leaves sizzlet™. The paper is from a Sale-A-Bration offering (FREE with a $50 purchase) called Ice Cream Parlor which includes 9 sheets of double sided12x12 paper and 2 sheets of die-cuts. The trim at the bottom was made with the Scallop Trim border punch. Colors are Pacific Point and Old Olive.
