Bright Delicate Doilies

I just gotta say the weather here in Kansas City has been awesome the past couple of days. It has been in the 60's two days in a row. I went outside and trimmed some bushes! I know it is January and it can't last but it was nice!!!!

These remind me of the scribble pictures I would make as a kid. I would take a black crayon and draw a loopy line all over the page and then color in all the spaces. How about you? Ever make one of those?

I used Stampin' Write markers to color in the doilies after stamping them with Stazon™ Jet Black. It is hard to tell in the photo but those are rhinestones on the doily. I used the Large Lace Ribbon border punch for the Basic Black strip.

Lion Thinking!

I think this would make a great masculine card.  The lion stamp is from the Stampin' Up™! called Zoo Review. Card stock colors used were More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake. The lion was stamped on Naturals White with Black Stazon™.  I used ink pads and a Blender Pen to color the lion.

I love the texture of Naturals White and Naturals Ivory paper-they are great for coloring on also. They are thicker than Whisper White and Very Vanilla and have those little specks of impurities on them (maybe that's why they are called naturals?).

Clean and Sinple Valentine

How about a CAS or clean and simple card? This is a cute little single stamp in the Stampin' Up!™ Occasions Mini called Candy Conversations. I cut my stamp apart and mounted the hearts on one side of the wood and the sentiment on the other. Makes it easier to stamp just the hearts or sentiment.
I stamped the hearts with Marina Mist and Pretty in Pink and punched out a pink one with the Small Heart Punch and attached it with a Dimensional™. The score lines were made with the Simply Scored™ score board.

I love making valentines!  Pink, red, glitter and hearts!!

Three Little Teacups

I am still playing with my new set called Tea Shoppe from the Stampin' Up!™ Occasions Mini. The colors are Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry and Blushing Bride. The ribbon is Baja Breeze seam binding that I ruffled by pulling a thread from the middle of the ribbon. I love the look of the ruffled ribbon but I have to say it was not the easiest thing I have ever done; I kept losing the little thread. Ugh!  The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up! hostess set called Happiest Birthday Wishes. I cut the stamped teacups out and attached them with dimensionals (love those things!).

Gold Rimmed Teacup

How about another cup of tea? This time I stamped the tea cup with Riding Hood Red on Whisper White and used  Gold Lame' Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink™ for the gold trim. The paper is Twitterpated from Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini. Card base is Island Indigo.

We are having the craziest weather this winter. I am not really complaining 'cause we've had very little snow or ice. However, Monday it was 67 and then Tuesday night it was 18 degrees. What a difference
a day makes huh? So how's your winter????

Tea Shoppe

As soon as I saw this set in the Stampin' Up!™ Occasions Mini I knew I had to have it as well as the Paper Doily Sizzlets die-perfect combo! I stamped the  tea cup with White Craft Ink onto Island Indigo paper and cut it out. The card base is Riding Hood Red. The Designer Series Paper is Twitterpated (ok isn't that a cool name?). I trimmed the doily to make it fit the card.
The Paper Doily Sizzlet is awesome. I did learn a little trick from my fellow demonstrators. To make it easier to remove the doily and to keep all the little
pieces from sticking in the die; first
stick packing tape or clear contact
paper over the die. Run through the
Big Shot with a piece of copy paper.
The tape/contact paper will stay on
the die and most of the little pieces will not be stuck in the die.

Advent Calendar

This was so much fun to make and surprisingly easy. I used My Digital Studio™ and the download 25 & Counting by Stampin' Up!™ to create the days stamps. The stamp set was in the Holiday Mini but at $44.95 a little pricey; however the download was only $7.95. I used MDS to print a sheet with all 25 stamps on Whisper White using my inkjet printer. The 1" punch works perfect on these!

The windows were made with the Peek-A-Boo window die. I used Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip and Real Red. Most of the embellishments were bits & pieces leftover from other projects.

The base is a 12 x 12 piece of chipboard covered with some Whisper White.  I used the Eyelet Border Punch to create a frame.

Just A Little More Christmas

So how was your Christmas? Is your tree down? Decorations packed away? Mine are but only just...

I did find some time this Christmas to make a few gifts. These ornaments were for my 5th/6th grade Sunday School class and for an ornament exchange with some wonderful friends.

I meant to take photos of the ornaments I rec'd but forgot and now they are  packed away.
These are some tags I made for my stamp club members. I borrowed the idea from Vickie, Its A Stamp Thing.  The glitter is the fabulous silver glass glitter, stamps are from Stampin' Up!™ Bells and Boughs, Serene Snowflakes and Greeting Card Kids. I used blender pens and Stampin' Pastels™ to color the images. I think I need to make some more of these for next year.
