Just a CAS (clean and simple) Valentine this time. I used the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit Die to make the smaller hearts. The large heart was punched out of a piece of Whisper White that was embossed with Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.
The score lines were made with my new Simply Scored™ score board from Stampin' Up!™
Did you ever try to type on the computer with a cat on your lap??? One of my DD cats thinks she has to sit on someone's lap and since I am the only one available tonight she has made herself comfortable between me and my laptop. Sheesh.....
Happy Valentine's Day! Did you get anything for Valentine's Day? I got flowers and chocolate-lots of chocolate from my DH!
I made 35 of these Valentines for my 5th & 6th grade Sunday school class to give to the home bound members of our church. The one on the left I made by sponging using a doily made with the new Paper Doily Sizzlets die from Stampin' Up! as a mask. The colors are actually retired colors Barely Banana and Ruby Red.
The card on the right was made with some pre-embossed paper from my stash and a couple of punched hearts. This one was for the men so I tried not to make it too fussy. Inside I stamped the Bible verse John 3:16.
Thanks to inspiration from my good friend Trisha, I made a collage. Click HERE for a great tutorial on her blog.
I used only Stampin' Up! products although some of the paper is retired. Most of these were scraps, mistakes, or leftover card parts. I started with a piece of ugly 12 x 12 DSP and glued pieces here and there using Tombow Liquid Glue™. A few pieces I tore to make them fit. After it was all glued down I took a Melon Mambo and Whisper White Craft spot and swiped randomly. I painted a few swipes of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint™, stamped a couple of images with Basic Gray and wheeled Music Notes. After everything was dry I cut it into card fronts and made some Valentines.
I have to say that once I started it was really fun and very therapeutic! So gather those scraps and make a collage!
