This is one of the cards we made at stamp club last month. I love heat embossing! I played around with a few color combinations and this is the one I liked the best. I wanted to try this with Tempting Turquoise but my Tempting Turquoise craft spot was too dry. The butterfly is a piece of chipboard cut with the Beautiful Butterflies Die and the Big Shot™. We covered it with Summer Sun (retired) craft ink and embossed it with clear EP, then covered it with Versamark™ and another layer of clear EP. The swirl from Baroque Motifs was stamped on the butterfly with Chocolate Chip craft ink. Another layer of clear EP then we swiped the Chocolate Chip craft ink pad across the top and embossed another layer of clear EP. The crown is a stamp from Extreme Elements. The layout of this card is basically a CASE from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.
“And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.” -Matthew 20: 17-19

Neat idea of using ribbon as the butterfly's body and antenna's ... like it!
I love how you did this butterfly. Fabulous!
Rhonda,
I just love your butterfly! All that embossing was well worth the effort. This is a wonderful layout too. TFS.
Okay, this is pretty awesome, but you said turquoise, and now I want it in turquoise. Don't be such a tease, Rhonda!
;)
