Stocking in Marina Mist!

I know it is a little early to be making Christmas cards but I love the new Stocking Builder punch and matching stamp set Stitched Stockings. See the little jingle bells? Those came from the Holiday Mini catalog and are only $2.95 for a package of 48. The snowflakes were cut using
the Northern Frost die. I love
this die because the snow-
flakes are so intricate. The
snowflakes were glued to
the Marina Mist panel and
run through the Big Shot™
with the Square Lattice
embossing folder.

New Toys!

At last, a chance to play with my new toys! The stockings were stamped with my new Stampin' Up!™ set called Stitched Stockings, and punched out with the new Stocking Builder Punch. Both of these are in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder to make the fireplace.  The logs were punched with
the Word Window punch
and the flames are the
wings from the Bird punch.

I used Dazzling Details™
for the touches of glitter on the stockings and tied a little piece of Cherry Cobbler baker's twine around the stockings.

Embossed Eiffel Tower

I really love the texture that embossing folders add to a card. The background panel uses a technique called bisque pottery. Simply use a brayer to apply ink to the front of an embossing folder, I used Crumb Cake ink and Vintage Wallpaper EF, and emboss with the Big Shot. Here is a tutorial by Diana Gibbs and the inspiration for this card. I used the set called Artistic Etchings. The Eiffel Tower was heat embossed with the new Pewter embossing powder found in
the Holiday Mini catalog. Don't you just love the ribbon? It is Cherry Cobbler Quilted Satin ribbon also found in the Holiday Mini.

I am frantically trying to finish my Christmas cards before Halloween hits. Anyway, that's the plan...
