Fabulous Rich Razzleberry!

The first stamp set I bought from Stampin' Up!™ was a flower set. (And I still have it.) I had never rubber stamped before and I had absolutely NO card making supplies. I used my kids' Crayola markers to color the stamps and I used construction paper (gasp!). Now I have many flower sets including this one called Fabulous Florets from Stampin' Up! and "real" markers and stamp pads and punches and... As they say, "You've come a long way baby!"
I used Rich Razzleberry and Regal Rose classic ink for the flowers. The Designer Series Paper is Old Olive from the Brights paper stack. The strip of Rich Razzleberry was embossed with the Finial Press embossing folder. The eyelet border was made with the Eyelet Border punch.
Here is a tip to make sure your solid image rubber stamps give a clean image. When you first get your stamps lightly sand them with a sanding block and clean them well. This will take off the chemical agent used on rubber stamps so they release from the molds.

Embossed Delicate Doilies!

How about some embossed Delicate Doilies???? The images are from the new Stampin' Up!™ set called Delicate Doilies (available July1!). I embossed them on Whisper White using Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango embossing powders. The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up! Hostess set in the Summer Mini. I'm tellin' you heat embossing is addictive and fun-so get out your heat gun and start making some magic appear!!

(Hint: Notice the stray embossing flakes on the right? That is what happens when you don't swipe that Embossing Buddy on your paper first!)

Say Goodbye to Pun Fun!

Pun Fun is another Stampin' Up!™ set that will be retiring June 30.
The only reason I purchased this set was because it was part of a special one month from Stampin' Up! However, I find that the images and cute sayings come in quite handy for making kids' cards. The images lend themselves well to paper piecing and are pretty easy to color. The striped paper is some retired Stampin' Up! DSP from my stash. The card base is Pacific Point with some Old Olive layers. I used the Gold Lame Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink for the gold around the spaceship.

Wisteria Wonder-A New In-Color!

How about a sneak peak at a couple of new items available in the new Stampin' Up!™ catalog coming July 1?
I must say that I love the new Stampin' Up! In Colors! I love how well they coordinate with each other. Wisteria Wonder is a beautiful soft shade of lavender!
The stamped image is from a new set called Delicate Doilies available in the new catalog. See that lovely strip of Whisper White down the side? It was made with a new border punch called Lace Ribbon Punch. The paper is new also; it is called Flirtatious and includes 2 sheets of laser cut doilies! New catalogs are available after June 20 and can be ordered from July 1.

Saying Goodbye to Mr. Sock Monkey!

Mr. Sock Monkey is one of the Stampin' Up!™ stamp sets that will be retiring at the end of this month. This is one of my favorite cute sets! There are many out there that will be glad to see him go; believe it or not they call him creepy! Sorry, just not seeing any creepiness LOL! I mean really, just look at that face! Anyway, retired or not I intend to keep this set and use it!
I paper pieced the monkey using some retired Stampin' Up! DSP from my stash of scraps. I first stamped him on the Sahara Sand DSP and then on Riding Hood Red DSP. I cut out the red pieces and glued them on the Sahara Sand monkey using Tombow™ Liquid Glue. When you paper piece it is usually easier to place the glue on the larger piece and then place the smaller piece onto the glue. Cheers to you Mr. Sock Monkey, retired or not, you are loved!

Cute Little Paper Purse!

I am a sucker for cute and this is just too stinkin' cute! There is a great YouTube tutorial by Frenchie HERE that shows you step by step how to make this adorable treat holder.

It only takes one 6"x6" piece of double sided Designer Series Paper and a little extra for embellishment. Frenchie suggests putting a little tube of lip balm in it but I think chocolate would fit also. The paper and the stamp are from the new Stampin' Up!™ catalog.

This is an exciting time if you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. The new catalog comes out July 1 and we get a chance to order a few sneak peaks on June 1. The cool part is the new catalog comes in your first demonstrator order. Not being a very patient person I paid a little more to have my order Next Day Air just so I could peruse the new catalog. And guess what-it really does come the next day and they have to deliver it before 11AM! The new catalog is lovely and the new In-Colors are yummy! Sorry I can't show you the catalog but when I get some projects made I can show those so stay tuned. Now off to play with my new toys!
