Sneak Peek!

These stamps are from a new stamp set called The Open Sea, that will be available May 1 in the new Stampin' Up! Summer MIni catalog. This is such a great masculine set! I (like most female card makers) struggle with masculine cards. You know, no glitter, no pearls, no pink, no rhinestones, no cute little animals, I mean really??
Also available in the new mini is Bakers Twine; much more masculine than ribbon. It comes in Early Expresso, on this card, and Cherry Cobbler. I think I need to emboss this globe in gold though. Embossing is masculine right?

Looky what I got!

About once a month my Stampin' Up! upline has a meeting with her downline. We share ideas, make a make & Take and participate in a swap. Welllll, one of her downlines, Barbara, made each of us one of these lovely plaques. Isn't this just fabulous???? All of Stampin' Up! current colors are represented except the neutrals. The leaves are made with the different shades of green and the roses are made with the rest. Her boyfriend made the frame. She asked if this would work for her swap for the next couple of months??? I should think so!!!
The roses are made with the Fancy Flower punch and the leaves were made with the Blossom Petal punch and 2-Step Bird punch.

Told you you'd be jealous!!!!

Put down the Paisley Petals paper!

Here are the last two cards I made with the new yummy Paisley Petals paper and Four Frames stamp set. I do have some other new sets and paper but you know I would have to get out of my chair, go clear across the basement and get them LOL!
The card base of the first card is Not Quite Navy with a layer of Marina Mist that was embossed with the Framed Tulips embossing folder. I used some Crumb Cake seam binding to make a bow (I really will be sad if this ribbon is not in the new catalog!).

The second card uses Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake card stock and of course another piece of Paisley Petal paper. A little paper piercing in the corner and a flower made with the Scallop Circle punch and Boho Blossoms punch and "ta da!".

I just received a most gorgeous gift from one of my Stampin' Up!™ sidelines and wait til you see-it is fabulosa! I just need to take a couple of photos. You will be sooooo jealous!!!

More Paisley Petals!

Look at all the cards I can make with one sheet of DSP! These cards are so different and yet I used the same piece of paper!
I love the new Four Frames stamp set. I colored them with Stampin' Write™markers to get the different colors.

I certainly hope the Seam Binding Ribbon is in the new catalog. It is so soft and easy to work with. I am not very good at "ruffling" it yet but maybe with a few more tries...

Lots of yummy colors in this pack of paper: Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Old Olive, River Rock, Cherry Cobbler, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy and Soft Suede are the "official" colors. However, Always Artichoke, Early Expresso look pretty good with one of the prints. I still have two more cards to share (still with the same sheet of paper!).

New Paper & Stamps!

Boy do I love this new Designer Series Paper called Paisley Petals! This paper is so gorgeous it stands alone with little embellishment. The stamps are from the Four Frames Stamp Set. The paper and stamp set are new products from the upcoming Stampin' Up! 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog. You can order these with any $20 purchase or even better earn them both for FREE! with a $350 workshop. The four frames stamp set coordinates with the Decorative Label Punch-sooooo much easier to punch than to cut! The ribbon is Old Olive Satin with a silver Glimmer Brad in the middle. I got a whole box of new rubbah & paper & punches. . .now just to find the time to play with them!
