Wedding Invite

Now you can see what I have been working on these past couple of months.

The roses were made with the Manhattan Flower embossing folder. I hand cut around the embossing. I used the Butterfly embosslit for the butterfly and added a few pearls. the ribbon is the 1/8" Basic Black taffeta. I really wanted to tie a bow on the ribbon but I was afraid of getting stuck with bumpy cards and extra postage. It is hard to see in the photo (unless you click on it and enlarge) but the inside is stamped with the rose from Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. I made about 160 of these.

Wedding Favors!!

Here is what I have been doing the past couple of months-making wedding favor boxes for my son's wedding. The bride was beautiful and the groom was most handsome! Lovely couple, lovely wedding.
Anyway, I made 160 decorated matchboxes and 50 little milk cartons. Inside the boxes were four Hershey Nuggets that were wrapped with address labels that I stamped (wheeled) with Melon Mambo flowers. (I forgot to take a photo of the candies inside.)
The bride & groom hearts were my favorite! Most of the embellishments came from the Pretties Kit (only $11.99 on the Stampin' Up! clearance rack).

Another Nature Walk card

The sun is shining and it is 75 degrees here in Kansas City! Yahoo!!!!! Open up the windows and breath the fresh air!

Here is another card made with the stamp set Nature Walk. I used Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze card stock and Early Expresso and Baja Breeze ink. The little bee has some Frost White Shimmer paint on the wings. I added a little Baja Breeze to the flowers with a Stampin' Write marker.
I have lots of cards & wedding stuff to share and I should have my camera back by tonight. In the meantime, "Bring on spring!!!!."

Nature Walk

Love, love, love this new stamp set called Nature Walk. I haven't had time to really play with my stamps lately 'cause I am in wedding mode (son's wedding is Saturday!). So I copied this card out of the magazine that Stampin' Up! demonstrators receive called Stampin' Success.
Love the colors Baja Breeze and Early Expresso together!
I have to admit that I was not a Baja Breeze fan when I first saw the color. But it is a great shade of blue that seems to blend well with other colors.
Off to bake a cake, make slaw and potato salad!

A Fancy Valentine!

Since yesterday's Valentine was a simple Valentine I decided today to post a fancy schmancy one. I was inspired by this card HERE. I added some Basic Black because I love red and black together. The center heart and the scalloped border is punched out of the beautiful Glimmer paper from the Occasions Mini. Yummy glitter without the mess! The background was embossed with the Elegant Lines embossing folder, the other hearts were die cut with the Scallop Heart of Hearts embosslit. Not sure why the second photo looks so pink; the card stock and Satin ribbon is Real Red. I tried to edit the color but oh well photography is not my call to fame!

A Simple Valentine!

Just a simple Valentine for you today! I actually copied a card from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog except I used the new yummy Glimmer paper! Glitter without the mess and our punches work great with this paper! The stamp set is called Sweetheart. The card base is Crumb Cake, the panel at the bottom is textured Baja Breeze, the leaves are Wild Wasabi ink on Wild Wasabi card stock and the bird is Daffodil Delight on Crumb Cake paper. The sentiment is a rub-on.

Yeah me! All the wedding favor boxes are decorated-just need to fill with candy, make 40 milk cartons & decorate, and make some paper flowers for the table!
