What can you make with a styrofoam ball, a dowel, pretty DP from SU, straight pins and a flower punch? I copied this idea from illustamper on SCS who saw it on a local tv show. I think it was a great use of my free hostess pack of paper. It only took 5 6x6 sheets to make.

I decided to put it in a coffee cup that belonged to my SIL. This is much more stable than the paper stand I originally had.

First card with my new stamp set In the Stars. I used
large star punch to make the border on the bottom. I didn't end it quite right; guess I need to practice. I used a hint I found on Pat Huntoon's blog for making solid image stamps stamp more evenly. Before using them sand the stamp lightly with a sanding block and clean well. Works like a charm!! I used regular classic ink on the stars and they stamped very nicely-not splotchy!
This is what was in the box. It's a present from me to me!! Okay actually I used my anniversary present money from my hubby. Can't wait to play!! I am going to try to copy Jan Tink's Carousel Notes Purse Book. Love the new poly twill ribbon-it is so soft!! Of course I must have an extra white gel pen at all times. The Simply scrappin' kit is Rose Cottage. I am having a scrapbook class on May 2. We will be making a scrapbook that can be given as a Mother's Day gift or you can keep it for yourself. I still need to make my card tin and my topiary out of paper, styrofoam and a dowel. Get off the computer Rhonda and start creating!!

Mr. Brown just brought me a box, however, I must fix dinner before opening because tonight is bowling night for sons & hubby. Next is a picture of what I bought at Hobby Lobby yesterday. The white tin is going to be a box to keep cards in that we will be making at my Stamp-a-Stack. The styrofoam balls and dowel are going to be turned into a really cool creation that I am copying from illustamper on SCS (splitcoaststampers). I will post pix as soon as they are done. But must feed family first!!

These are 2 of the cards we will be making Thursday night in our 5 cards for $5 class. The first is made with the Embrace Life set and uses blender pens around the edges of the stamped image. Love those blender pens!! There is also glitter!!!!

The second card uses a new set I just bought called Seeing Spots. This is a great set! I added dots to the scallop punch and a border to the scalloped bottom with my favorite SU white gel pen
(the only white gel pen that I've found that actually works).
See what you are missing if you don't come!! Where else can you get beautiful cards like this for $1 each? Where else can you go and have fun for $5? Not only that but you can tell everyone with great humility, "Yes, I really did make that."

This is one of the cards we made at club meeting Thursday using the Polished Stone TM technique by Beate Jones. We used Lovely Lilac and Tempting Turquoise classic reinkers, and Encore silver reinker on SU glossy cardstock. The image is from SU Bloomin' Beautiful set stamped with Stazon Black ink. I really like this effect! I think next I will try Purely Pomegranate, Pumpkin Pie and gold Encore ink.
My very first post on my very first blog!! This is a card I made with my new favorite SU set Bloomin' Beautiful. This is a case of a card from Splitcoaststampers. I tried to find it to give the original creator credit but all I could find were more cases. I guess I wasn't the only one who liked the colors and the layout. I love this satin ribbon!! I colored this with blender pens and classic ink pads. Just a word of caution-when you make cards close the lid of the ink pad asap or you could get stray brown ink on your card.
